About the company
Sunwoda Electronic - a leading Chinese company with almost 30 years of experience, founded in 1997 in Shenzhen. The main product line is lithium-ion batteries and energy storage systems.
It is among the top 10 largest manufacturers of batteries for electric vehicles in the world, and the top 5 in China.
It has its own innovative developments, in particular solid-state batteries. Sunwoda batteries are flexible in use, as they are compatible with well-known inverter manufacturers Deye, Solis and others.
The company has expanded its presence in some European countries (it has manufacturing in Hungary), and also has representative offices in the USA, Japan, France, India and Thailand.

1997
Founding of Sunwoda in Shenzhen.
2000
Wholesale deliveries to international customers have begun.
2008
Start of research and development of BMS, battery modules and battery packs for energy storage systems.
2011
The company's listing on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
2014
Launch of lithium-ion battery cell production.
2016
Creation of the energy division (ESS).
2017
Opening of the first overseas plant in India.
2019
Sunwoda entered the world's TOP-10 companies by installed battery capacity for the first time.
2020
Opening of the plant in Nanjing.
2023
The first European manufacturing complex has been opened in Hungary.
In 2022, the main sales of Sunwoda Electronic were batteries for consumer electronics (73%) and batteries for electric vehicles (24.3%). The main sales markets were China and Western Europe.

Batteries for the automotive industry
Used in electric vehicles, commercial transport and some hybrid car models. Sunwoda batteries provide long-lasting autonomy thanks to the advanced energy density of their cells.
ESS for business and home
Energy storage systems for private homes, offices and commercial facilities. They provide backup power and savings on electricity bills.
Industrial solutions
Scalable container ESS solutions for industrial enterprises and power plants. Capacity from several MWh — for full energy independence of the facility.
Electronics and home appliances
Compact lithium-ion batteries for smartphones, laptops, wearable electronics and household appliances. High energy density in a minimal housing.
Safety and reliability of technologies
Sunwoda does not release products to the market until they have passed rigorous testing. The brand tests the operation of its equipment under conditions of overheating, after a fall, short circuit, moisture ingress and other damage.
Thanks to built-in protection systems, the batteries work even at the peak of their capabilities without the risk of ignition. Intelligent monitoring correctly distributes the load, switches individual units on/off, and controls the charge and other technical characteristics.
